Most
lawyers
pay
too much
for
pension
valuations. |
You get private access to our web server via a powerful Wizard you
can download for only $39.95. You enter information about the Retirement Plan and the
Participant in the Wizard and submit the information. Almost instantly, you
receive an Actuarial Present Value Report tailored for your firm and for
your client. Done!
The Wizard is actually a significant application, rich in context-sensitive
help with state-specific and in-depth information, and it guides you
step by step. It installs
itself and is always ready at the click of a button. It automatically
checks for upgrades and downloads them automatically at no additional
charge.
You can view and print the Report immediately. You can
also edit the coverture dates at any time and recalculate the marital value prior to
printing. This is very useful, for example, when you initially enter the
date of marriage and then want to know the marital value using the date of
cohabitation. The reports are no-nonsense, brief, professionally good-looking
and exhibit-ready documents. They include a full disclosure of the actuarial
assumptions applied, which allows the results to be easily duplicated by a
local expert. Many lawyers use Pension Link both as their primary valuation resource
as well as to validate opposing counsel's calculations, that is, as a fast
and inexpensive second opinion.
Your Wizard stores and manages all your reports, but can
also store a copy in your client's folder in either .PDF or Microsoft Word
file format.
Our server maintains mortality tables and
interest rates constantly updated. Tables, rates and calculation methods are selected as
appropriate based on the data submitted.
Support is free
and unlimited. We are available to answer your questions by phone, fax,
or e-mail at
absolutely no cost to you.
The Pension Link Wizard provides default values,
screens and fields as appropriate for private and municipal plans, the Civil Service
Retirement System (CSRS), the Federal Employees Retirement System, military
systems, and the Railroad Retirement System (RRRS). Virtually all defined
benefit plans are covered. It produces reports for Life Only, Joint &
Survivor, Joint & Survivor with Popup, and can handle many plan-specific
characteristics such as early retirement incentives,
breaks in service, COLA increases, disabled employees with or without Social
Security benefits, and more.
Cost: $95
($20 for secondary reports*). Compare this with the hundreds of dollars most lawyers pay for similar
actuarial valuations from local consultants, the advantage of getting your valuations immediately instead of having to wait for days or weeks, plus free and unlimited telephone
support!
There are no other charges. You only pay for the reports you get.

*Secondary Reports: These are additional valuations for the same
participant and plan, as of the same valuation date, submitted on the same day, but with different actuarial assumptions, i.e.: a different assumed retirement age, a different accrued benefit, lump-sum vs. annuity benefits valuation, different cost of living assumptions, or combination of
the above.
